Special
Interests
The
shipwrecks in the Solomon Islands have mostly grown into
perfect artificial reefscapes with an eerie touch of the
violent history, over 50 years ago. Of course, if you are
into sunken relicts, there are a lot of interesting things
down there to look at (books, bottles, ammunition, toilet
seats, and bikes, what have you). Don't take anything away
as these wrecks are historical monuments and protected by
the law. Surface intervals between dives are often used
to visit the close by island villages. The hospitality on
these islands and the colourful display of their culture
is always worth while a visit.
