Mermaid I offers a unique combination of first class diving
in a variety of good live-aboard locations.

Mermaid I is a 28 metre, double engine steel motor yacht.
She comfortably holds 15 guests in 1 Master State Room (king
bed), 1 Single and 4 Deluxe Cabins (double or twin beds)
and 2 Budget Cabins (double/twin beds) below deck.
Dive Destinations
In the Thai season (Nov-Apr), Mermaid has 9 night itineraries
starting from Phuket that visit the best dive sites in the
Similans on the way north, plus great the great dive spots
north of the Burmese border in the Andaman sea. (scroll

From May to October Mermaid 1 relocates her base to Bali
and offers 7 and 9 night cruises around Komodo National
Park (scroll down for sample itinerary ).

The
Vessel
The
master, single and deluxe cabins have ensuite bathrooms,
refrigerators and panoramic sea view windows. The budget
cabins are below decks with ensuite bathroom and refrigerator.
All cabins have TVs so you can review your pictures, DVD
access, bathrobes , toiletries and loads of fluffy towels.
There
is a wide stern dive platform with two exit ladders and
fresh water showers. 4 camera rinse tanks and large camera
table will please all photographers. Delicious Thai and
western meals are served in our "Sawasdee Restaurant"
with large windows to enjoy the views.
After meals relax in the saloon equipped with TV/DVD and
music center and library with a full selection of marine
life books. There are two outside decks, one shaded with
outside seating and the fabulous sundeck with sunshade plus
cushioned sun beds a great place to relax. EANX NITROX
is available on every cruise.

NITROX is one of the diving related features which you will
find on Mermaid I, 12 and 15 litre steel tanks, Dräger
Rebreather (on request) and rental cameras, also belong
to the equipment of the MV Mermaid I.
2 Zodiac/Dinghies can drop you and pick you up safely in
the right places. The large Dive Platform at water level
offers two ladders which makes the entry easy.
