Reef Encounter offers flexibility for divers and snorkellers to experience the Great Barrier Reef. Whether you have have 1 night or more to spare, it can be done. Reef Encounter takes up to 42 passengers overnight on the reef.
The boat has nice spacious cabins and its own onboard water desalinator so guests have the luxury of unlimited showers.

Snorkellers as well as certified divers will be looked after with equal enthusiam and Introductory Scuba Dives are available for those that do not have a dive certification.

Dive Sites

Reef Encounter visits an area approx. 50 km east of Cairns. They offer diving at Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reefs.

Vessel

Accommodation facilities onboard the fully air-conditioned vessel are terrific.
The dining room is big and fresh, our onboard heated spa is perfect to relax after a night dive or watch the sunset with a glass of champagne on the huge sundeck.
Our hydraulic dive / snorkel platform makes diving and snorkeling a breeze.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available in twin / double and triple cabins. Staterooms are modern, spacious and bright, with plenty of storage space. All cabins on board Reef Encounter have ensuite bathrooms. They take a maximum number of 42 guests on board.

Itinerary

The vessel is permanently based on the Great Barrier Reef and cruises daily to a different site within Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reefs. As the vessel is serviced daily by a transfer vessel, it's possible to arrange a live aboard trip of any duration.
