The Carolines Resort is often referred to as "the small resort on top of the hill." This refers to its size and location. 7 private bungalows are situated on a secluded hilltop overlooking the beautiful Philippine Sea. At the end of the day a stunning sunset awaits you on your balcony, overlooking Palau's magnificent Rock Islands.

If you are looking for a place to get away from all the traffic, all the bustle of the city and all the people but still want a town nearby, then this is the place that you are looking for. A pleasant ocean breeze greets you as you return from the days activities.

Features

Spend an afternoon at Pacific Treasures (the in-house handicrafts shop) looking for the perfect treasure for you from all over the Indo-Pacific. They have many beautiful clothes for men, women and children as well as many handicrafts like hand-woven baskets, hand-carved boxes, masks, stone and marble statues, original ceramic vases, gold and silver jewellery, the list goes on and on.

After you've done your shopping, sit back and enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee, a glass of wine or a cold beer. No visit would be complete without a taste of the famous homemade rum cake!

Additionally, guests have access to the only private beach in Koror. A swimming pool, tennis courts and fitness centre are some of the other amenities available to guests at a nearby facility.

Accommodation

The Carolines Resort is the most unique resort in Korror. All of the "rooms" are actually private hand crafted bungalows. The bungalows are modelled after traditional Palauan architecture using local materials such as bamboo, mahogany and mangrove. The structures are made almost entirely from wood.

These bungalows may sound rustic but they are equipped with the amenities that you would expect from most hotels: air conditioning, TV and VCR, refrigerator, mini bar and private bath. Each bungalow has a private balcony so you can enjoy a spectacular view from your bungalow.
